Avlida

The Avlida is a spacious hotel that has been partially renovated and enlarged in 2003. As well as a sandy beach 200m away there are many facilities and amenities on offer so you do not need to venture far. The archaeological site “Tombs of the Kings” is just opposite the hotel (between the hotel and the sea) and there are many shops, tavernas and bars close by. Paphos harbour area with its exciting nightlife, restaurants, bars, clubs and the local market are approximately 15 minutes walk away.

Avlida Hotel offers 200 comfortable rooms. All rooms are furnished with twin or double beds and have a private bathroom with shower, satellite TV, four channel radio, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, minibar (extra charge), individually controlled air conditioning and heating and a balcony. Interconnecting rooms are available on request and room service is available 16 hours per day.

The Adonis buffet restaurant offers Theme night buffets and vegetarian meals, pool snack bar with A la Carte meals and snacks is open from 10:00 to 18:00. The Tea Lounge bar has live music, karaoke and a disco most evenings. There are two additional bars, the Wooden Cosy bar and the Terrace bar that serves long drinks, fresh fruit juices, cocktails and refreshments.

The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:00-09:30), lunch (13:00-14:30) and dinner (19:30-21:30), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant (with thematic options as well). A variety of snacks is available between 10:00 & 17:00 at the pool bar. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like whiskey, gin, vodka, liqueur, wine by the glass (red & white), a selection of cocktails (with or without alcohol), brandy, beer, soft drinks, fruit juices, ginger ale, nescafe, hot chocolate, cappuccino, filter coffee, Cypriot coffee and tea are served from 10:00-24:00 at all hotel bars. Children’s menus, high chairs and early meals are also available.

Large free shaped outdoor swimming pool with three waterfalls, large indoor pool (only heated during winter months), sun terrace with water channels and ten waterfalls, floodlit tennis court, table tennis, pool table and games area. The Avlida Health Club offers a gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam bath and a massage room. Water sports (seasonal) are available on the beach and bookings can be made for scuba diving, horse riding, golf and mountain bike rentals at the hotel. Entertainment: there is plenty of seasonal entertainment for all the family including theme nights, Cyprus night with live music, seasonal animation programme, bingo, quizzes, karaoke, disco, fashion shows, competitions, jewellery exhibition, wine tasting and food & drink demonstrations.

Sport facilities at the hotel include day time tennis court with the use of tennis rackets and tennis balls, table tennis, fitness room and indoor swimming pool. There is also children’s pool and playground where they can enjoy themselves in a safe and fun environment. AI entertainment includes live music at least twice a week and a disco and/or Karaoke night twice a week.

In-room mini-bars, massage, steam bath, sauna, jacuzzi and billiards are available at a charge.

Reception, extensive lounge area, three conference rooms for up to 300 people with audio visual equipment, ironing room, laundry service, TV room with the latest home cinema, hairdressing salon, safety deposit boxes ( charged locally) and a souvenir shop. Children facilities: two children’s pools with mushroom fountains, playground, early meals, children’s menu, high chairs and babysitting (on request).

The hotel is located 15km from Paphos airport (PFO) and would about 20 minutes by taxi and is located 1.5km from Paphos Centre.
